Ta

Before things get messy, just a quick overly-sentimental message from me down here at the Southern Tip. Many thanks to you guys for reading 6000 miles… this year – and especially those who have commented here or on Facebook.

Amazingly, it’s been another record breaking year for the blog and that’s solely down to people like you coming to read my drivel.

So thank you, have a great New Year and a successful and safe 2014. We’ll still be here to keep you company – you know the address.

Just for the record…

Shopping today was far less of an ordeal than anyone could reasonably have expected. That said, it took most of our day and most of our energy.
Post blood doning (not a word, but it’ll do), it was off to Simon’s for a really good dinner.

Tomorrow looks slightly quieter, so I’m going to try (but not promise) to get  some recent photos uploaded.
You’ve been warned.

Back to the dock

…and the flock on the rock.

We’re back in Cape Town for a few days, taking in the Mango Groove concert (full of aging white libertarians) at Kirstenbosch, dinner at a posh Constantia restaurant, a Nic Rabinowitz show and (obviously) the mountain:

Even though Agulhas was packed in Agulhas terms, there’s nothing quite like the hustle and bustle of the city, is there?
I may feel differently after a couple of hours of Christmas shopping tomorrow, of course.
