Right, so…

Some degree of normality should return to the household this week. With the kids back at school, I will be able to get back into my regular routine including some much-needed gym time (this last fortnight, I have mainly been drinking beer), stuff will get done and I might – might – even get chance to play with the new camera.

A proper photographer, having seen what I had bought invested in, suggested a new lens to go with it (and it looks lovely), but at half the price of the actual camera, that’s going to have to wait. But anyway, it’s not like I don’t already have other stuff to work on: the camera is sitting next to me as I write, and I can see nine buttons on it (of course, there are more, but they’re hiding behind the strap etc). One of those nine is the shutter, and another two of them I already know how to use; the remainder of them mean nothing to me right now.
It’s going to be a steep learning curve. I have a couple of projects that I’m going to working on in the near future, so it needs to be a quick learning curve as well. But hopefully it can still be fun and fulfilling.

I guess that I sign off here, I could even get started now…
