Time out. We’re heading down to Agulhas for the long weekend for a bit of this during the day:

There will be meat, walks, wine, beer, photography and relaxation.

We’re back in Cape Town for a few days, taking in the Mango Groove concert (full of aging white libertarians) at Kirstenbosch, dinner at a posh Constantia restaurant, a Nic Rabinowitz show and (obviously) the mountain:
Even though Agulhas was packed in Agulhas terms, there’s nothing quite like the hustle and bustle of the city, is there?
I may feel differently after a couple of hours of Christmas shopping tomorrow, of course.

I don’t pretend to be an expert, but it would appear, at first glance at least, that every single box has been ticked.
The usual suspects are all present and correct: Wessels, Hofmeyr, Dylan, van der Merwe, Darren and die Campbells. What more could you ask for?
They’ve even chucked some Creedence Clearwater Revival in for the overseas vibe. And there’s a sneaky André Rieu if you’re still feeling a bit classy ahead of your seventeenth dubbel Klippies en Coke.
iTunes, watch out. The future of music retail can be found down by the stripy lighthouse.
Spotted this in the 7-11 in Agulhas over the holiday.
I was so tempted to set up a makeshift 10-pin bowling alley – something that Agulhas sadly lacks.
But I didn’t.
I actually have no clue how many sunsets I have posted on this blog. But last night’s was pretty spectacular:
No fancy editing stuff required here. Just a point and shoot on my Mum’s point and shoot camera.
The sunlight, pollutants and water vapour in the atmosphere did the rest.
And I think it did it rather well.
