well . if you’re up for some take-aways .. you can always try the Fruit-&-Veg city at Willowbridge .. besides some good Sushi they also do lots of meats, cheeses, meals, breads … plenty of good non-fruity-and-veggie things … ideal place to stop before going on that picnic!

Also couldn’t find any reviews, but it is relatively new and it must be half decent to be at the Vineyard, right? (Right?)

Hong has been properly good the 3 times I’ve eaten there, despite their location. Try takeaway’s as a range-finder, perhaps? Haven’t tried The Square yet. Reviews also seem difficult to come by – this blog post is showing up 5th on Google, and the 4 above it are for other establishments!

Southern Suburbs: try Sake House on MainRd., Claremont and (especially) Hong in the Atrium mall. The latter will be good for your gauges, though the setting is rather uninspired. .-= Jacques´s last blog ..Eastwood does Oprah =-.

Try Food Lover’s market – across the road from Cavendish McDonalds. I’m not a sushi fan but my girlfriend and her mates love it there. They also have some half-price specials in the evenings, not sure which evenings though!

Here int’ north, we don’t have poncy places like Waaaa-sabi oor t’ SQUARE…ooohh, nooohh… we like to watch our green, orange, purple ‘n pink plates trundle around on a huge, big, teeny-weeny luggage carrier belt-thingy. I’m talking Yo! Sushi, naturally!

Seriously though… we all love the sushi thing, but Yo! Sushi can end up being expensive if you take a large appetite with you!! Here’s hoping The Square lives up to your expectation, eh?

Agree with the advice re Steenberg CT Fish Market. Waterfront good – Steenberg not so! Have eaten there three times in past 6 months and each visit was a disappointment foodwise. Cannot comment on the sushi at either venue, mind you.
